Sporta Street 2, Indra
The Museum of Happiness is created in Indra as a gift to Latvia anniversary. Its interactive exposition invites everyone to feel, think and look in the future, not in the past. The museum’s task is not to give an answer to the question “What is happiness?”, but stimulate people to be positive, creative, inspirational and to show the diversity of happiness.
Indra attracts more and more travelers, so Indra's guests will be surprised - Indra's craftsmen's room is opened. Here you will be able to get acquainted with the products of local craftsmen and buy unique souvenirs! A team of parish masters has worked on the creation of the craftsmen's room.
NEW for 2023! The Museum of Happiness developed a new program for museum visitors - "My grandmother's dish cabinet", located in Indra (at Krāslavas iela 3). During the tour, visitors will get acquainted with a unique collection of Riga porcelain dishes - more than 1000 items.
The manager of the Museum will tell about the history of Riga porcelain, the popular tableware sets, factory ceramics, the history of acquiring collection exhibits. A practical lesson will also be offered - guests will have the opportunity to choose their favorite teapot and, using the offered herbs (about 20 varieties), make tea that will improve the feeling of happiness and health. At the end of the program – a tasting of tea. Duration of the program: approximately 1 hour.
