Built from 1750 to 1791. At the beginning of 19th century it was rebuilt in accordance with the canons of Classicism. It is the only palace in Latgale with such decor (architect A. Parako). Both sides are similar though one side look cosy while the other side cold. There are some additional buildings for the servants of Platers. When Platers left Kraslava during World War I, the palace dwindled. The 18th century complex of Platers palace offers visitors to have romantic walk through the park observing beautiful view of the river Daugava from the podium at the palace.
Working hours: survey of the castle only from outside.
