Boat "Dinaburga"

We offer rides on our ship boat “Dinaburga” along the Daugava River in the Naujene parish of Daugavpils region.We are happy to welcome guests in our comfortable seating with retractable transparent walls, interior heating, an audio system, blankets for the colder days and an always smiling captain.

During the trip, the captain will tell interesting stories about the local area, historical events and cultural and historical sites.

The boat is also available for organized groups of students and tourists, company organized events, various celebrations and weddings.

The boat can accommodate 20 passengers at the same time.

On weekdays, the boat will run on request, by reservation, but on weekends it  makes a trip every other round hour from 10:00 to 19:00.

We are not dependent on weather conditions. The boat has a roof, sealable walls, as well as heating. Our riding season spans from early spring to late autumn.

A trip on the Dinaburga ship boat will be a great excursion and entertainment for families and groups of friends, as well as a wonderful gift for yourself and your loved ones.

It is possible to organize corporate  events and various celebrations. Unique entertainment for wedding guests or an original place to hold a wedding ceremony.

During the trip you will see:

• The Slutiški cliff, which is the largest Quaternary rock outcrop in the Latvian part of the Daugava river
• “Daugava Gates” – the narrowest section of the ancient Daugava valley between Slutiški and Ververu cliffs, which is among the most significant objects on the list of “Green Pearls of Latvia”,
• Ververi cliff, which is a 42 m high Quaternary rock cliff, from which an unforgettable view of the “Daugava Gate” .
• Markovas hillfort, which is one of the smallest hillforts in Latgale,
• Slutiškis Old Believer village, where time stopped more than 100 years ago and you can get to know the culture and everyday life of the Old Believers of the first half of the 20th century.

During the trip you will enjoy the magnificent natural views, preserved by the stopping of construction on the Daugavpils Hydro power plant, which saved the unique natural area here, and is one of the symbols of The Latvian independence revival movement in the early 1990s.

The trip starts and ends at the campsite “Daugavas lokos”.

Before or after the trip you can enjoy a meal at the cafe “Oi, gords”, walk along educational and nature trails and visit the village of Slutiski,

The following ticket types are available for boat trips:

Adult ticket - 8 Eur

Child ticket (0-7 years) - Free

Ticket for a teenager (8-13 years) - 5 Eur

Ticket with a discount for special groups - 5 Eur

The entire boat rental costs 70 Eur per hour (from Monday to Thursday) or 100 Eur (from Friday to Sunday)
